About PaycheckSimple

PaycheckSimple is a free tool that helps people in the United States understand their real take-home pay. Gross salary numbers are easy to find — what actually lands in your bank account after federal tax, state tax, and FICA is much harder. We make that clear in seconds.

Our approach

The calculator runs entirely in your browser. We never collect or store your salary information. Calculations use published 2026federal and state tax parameters. Results remain estimates because credits, local taxes, benefits, and individual circumstances vary — see our methodology and sources pages.

Who we are

PaycheckSimple is built and maintained by Archie Chang, a full-stack engineer and independent developer, and is operated by Archie Design App LLC. Archie is responsible for the software implementation and source maintenance; he is not a CPA or tax adviser. The calculator is not a tax preparation service and does not constitute tax, legal, or financial advice.

Corrections and updates

Federal inputs are checked against IRS and SSA publications. State inputs use the Tax Foundation's annual table and state revenue sources for priority pages. If you find a discrepancy, send the official source through our contact page so the number and citation can be reviewed together.
