3 Paycheck Months Calculator

Enter one known payday on a biweekly schedule to find every pay date and three-paycheck month in 2026, 2027, or 2028. The example below starts with January 8, 2027.

2027 pay calendar

26 paydays in the calendar year. Three-paycheck months: April and October.

Calculated from a 14-day payday cycle anchored to your known date. Confirm dates with your employer before budgeting.

How the calendar works

A biweekly schedule pays every 14 days. Starting with one actual payday, this calculator adds or subtracts 14 calendar days to list the dates that fall between January 1 and December 31 of your selected year. It then counts paydays in each month. A month with three dates is a three-paycheck month.

For example, a January 1, 2027 payday produces 27 dates in 2027, starting January 1 and ending December 31; January, July, and December have three paydays. A January 8, 2027 payday produces 26 dates, with three paydays in April and October. The three-paycheck months depend on your starting date, so a generic list may not match your schedule.

Some biweekly cycles have 27 pay dates in a calendar year. The US Office of Personnel Management explains a related 27-payday possibility for its federal pay context. That source does not set every employer’s pay schedule. Pay dates, pay periods, and leave years are different things.

This tool does not move a payday for bank holidays or weekends. Employers can change dates. A twice-monthly (semi-monthly) schedule follows fixed monthly dates, not a 14-day cycle, so this calculator does not apply to it.
